Imec demonstrates high-resolution HSI in less than a second

At the 2018 edition of SPIE Photonics West in San Francisco, imec presented the second generation of its SNAPSCAN camera systems. Their main innovation? They come with an ultrasonic speed piezo motor stage that allows the capture of hyperspectral cubes in less than 200 ms.

The faster action of the new SNAPSCAN cameras minimizes the effects of motion artifacts. This makes the systems even more suited for breakthrough research and commercial applications in fields such as medicine and forensics.
